I founded the original Trees community on Reddit in 2009. Over the next fifteen years it grew into one of the largest cannabis communities in the history of the internet, read by tens of millions of people. I wrote the first rules. I moderated the first conflicts. I watched the community invent its own etiquette, its own taxonomy, and its own ethics - long before there was an industry to sell to it.

I am also an administrator of Bluelight, the largest and longest-running harm-reduction forum on the internet, where I have spent the better part of two decades helping people use substances more safely. That is not marketing. It is practice.

Cannabis.one is where I bring that record and that practice together. Under the [TREES] masthead I publish The Journal, curate The Archive, and license The One Standard. I do not sell cannabis. I never will. The credibility of a record depends on staying outside the commerce it covers.
